Brene Brown talks a lot about shame and I have found her work to be incredibly useful. Shame grows with secrecy, judgement, and silence, but shame cannot survive empathy. When you are stuck in shame, sharing your story with someone who has earned the right to hear it releases its power over you. Thanks for sharing.
South Park agrees with you. I do believe in shame (Rightful consequences) but..........redemption. Everyone has messed up and are imperfect but consequences causes people to do the right thing. Yet, let the person try to be better or, if you can't, leave them alone!
I love when you bring back the old essays!! Pen is elite
Oh, this is a new essay, that's what I get for copy pasting my the opener from my last post without proof reading. LMAO
