Introducing: The Sucker for Love Mixtape Series

www.letsnotbtrash.com

Do you remember that time when the person you were dating told you that things weren’t working out? Or maybe they didn’t tell you a damn thing. Maybe they ghosted you, maybe you found out when they changed their relationship status on Facebook, or told Twitter/IG/Snapchat/Insert social media platform that they were single. No matter how you found out, do you remember how you felt?

I do, and for those of you wondering, (probably no one) I am a textbook sucker for love. I fall fast, and I fall hard. So when things don't work out, I feel the heartbreak or rejection just as intensely as I feel the infatuation. And because the crash is as hard, if not harder than the rise, it’s sometimes hard to take anything from the experience besides the way the conclusion made you feel. But here’s the thing, no matter how good, bad, or unpredictably a relationship or entanglement ended, there is always a lesson to be learned. Unfortunately, some of us miss out on the growing moment, which brings me to the Sucker4Love Mixtape.

The Sucker4LoveMixtape will be a weekly column where I share the hard lessons learned from my past relationships. That's right, instead of having to do the hard personal work, I’m giving you the option to be a fly on the wall of my love life. Come find out what my key takeaway was after failing to clap Aurelle’s cheeks to her satisfaction, or how being “Friend Zoned” taught me that the “friend zone” wasn’t a real thing. I got lots of stories, and even more messages, so come get all of this free game.

But wait, there’s more! With every post, I’ll be including a Spotify playlist with songs to fit the mood for that moment. This will be a combination of songs/artists we already know, as well as newer folks you may not have heard of before. So yeah, I’m excited about this, and I hope you are too. I hope you join me on this journey!

Sign up now so you don’t miss the first issue.

In the meantime, tell your friends!
